Meg Cabot is the New York Times #1 bestselling author of more than twenty-five
series and books for both young people and adults, selling over fifteen million copies
worldwide. Her Princess Diaries series, which has been published in 38 countries,
was made into hit movies by Disney and was chosen as a Best Book selection by
the American Library Association and as one of the British public's "best-loved
novels." Meg also wrote the Mediator and 1-800-Where-R-You? series (on which
the television series, Missing, was based), two All-American Girl books, Teen Idol,
Avalon High, How to Be Popular, Pants on Fire, and Jinx. Meg is currently writing
a new middle-grade series called Allie Finkle’s Rules for Girls, as well as a YA
series, Airhead, both of which are out now. Meg lives in Key West, Florida and New
York City with a primary cat (one-eyed Henrietta), various back-up cats, and her
husband.
Jim Davis, Creator of Garfield the Cat, was born in Marion, Indiana. Cartoonist,
Author, Producer, Director, President, Founder, Screenwriter, Environmentalist, and
Philanthropist are all titles that describe Jim. The Garfield comic strip debuted in
1978 and is, according to Guinness World Records, “The Most Widely Syndicated
Comic Strip in the World.” Davis’ peers at the National Cartoonist Society honored
him with Best Humor Strip (1981 and 1985), the Elzie Segar Award (1990), and
the coveted Reuben Award (1990), the top award presented to a cartoonist by NCS
members. Davis has also written eleven primetime specials for CBS, receiving four
Emmy Awards for Outstanding Animated Program. His famous cat has also starred in
two successful feature films, Garfield: The Movie and Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties.
Danny Kallis is an Emmy-nominated television writer and producer and the creator of
The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and The Suite Life On Deck, two of the most popular
shows in Disney Channel history. The Suite Life on Deck is currently the #1 TV
show for kids 6-11 years old. Danny grew up in Southern California and his father
was one of the founders of IHOP (the International House of Pancakes.) Danny has
also written for such popular TV shows as Smart Guy (which he also created and
directed), Hangin' With Mr. Cooper, Who's the Boss?, Silver Spoons, Mama's Family
and Taxi.
Mrs. P is the co-creator and star of MrsP.com, one of the most popular entertainment
and educational sites for kids on the Internet. She has received recognition for
her work from the American Library Association, the National Parenting Center and
TeachersFirst.com, among others. Mrs. P lives in a big house with a Magic Library.
She enjoys maintaining and driving her vintage, red Ferrari sports car, traveling
around the world and, most of all, reading to kids. Occasionally, she dresses up
as the actress Kathy Kinney, who starred in The Drew Carey Show for nine years,
currently appears on The Secret Life of the American Teenager and who co-wrote the
popular book, Queen of Your Own Life, which was recently featured on Oprah.com.
